Lincoln Plaza Cinema  One of my favorite theaters in NYC. They have a great selection of movies despite the small size of the venue, and the fact that it's an indie theater gives it a warmer feel than a regular chain theater. They have coffee, tea, pastries, and regular popcorn and candy, and I can do things like leave my late friend's ticket with the ticket taker and go in to wait for her so I don't miss anything. One thing that seems to weird people out is that sometimes you have to line up for your movie via a roped-off maze on the side of the lobby, but that's just because the space is small and they have a lot of movies running. Once they open the doors and the line moves in, you can always find a seat, it's not a Hunger Games type of seating situation. It's cash-only which sucks, but I still give it five stars because I just love going to see movies there. Seeing 8 1/2 there on a whim by myself was one of the coziest chilly evenings I've ever spent.
